Waiver Policy
The Journal of Practical Medicine and Medical Science recognizes the financial challenges faced by researchers, particularly those in developing countries. To promote equitable access to publishing opportunities, we have implemented a flexible waiver system based on the World Bank's classification of countries by economic status. This tiered system ensures that authors from lower-income nations receive substantial discounts or full waivers on publication fees, enabling them to share their valuable research without financial barriers. Hence, the following are the percentage waivers for different countries based on the World Bank countries classification.
-
Low-Income Countries (Automatic 62% waiver)
-
Lower Middle-Income Countries (Automatic 55% waiver)
-
Upper-Middle-Income Economies (Automatic 25% waiver)
-
High-Income Economies (no waiver applied)
In extreme cases and after due consideration, it is also not unusual to grant full waivers to authors. However, authors should not take advantage of our leniency.
