About JPHD
Inroduction
The Journal of Public Health and Diseases (JPHD) is an open access, peer-reviewed scientific journal dedicated to advancing knowledge in all aspects of public health, health promotion, and disease prevention. The journal provides an international platform for researchers, academics, healthcare practitioners, and policymakers to share innovative research findings, critical reviews, and evidence-based practices that address contemporary health challenges. JPHD ensures a rapid and transparent publication process, while maintaining high editorial standards, and offers free online access to all published articles to promote wide dissemination of knowledge. The journal is published on a bi-monthly basis (one issue every two months), ensuring timely communication of new insights, and printed copies are made available to interested authors upon request.
Scope
The journal publishes high-quality research, reviews, and case studies that advance knowledge and practice in public health and disease control. Areas of interest include: Epidemiology and Health Systems (Disease surveillance, biostatistics, health policy, global health, and health promotion); Communicable Diseases (HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria, neglected tropical diseases, respiratory infections, water- and food-borne diseases, vaccines, and antimicrobial resistance); Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) (Cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, cancer, chronic respiratory diseases, neurological disorders, and mental health); Maternal, Child, and Reproductive Health (Maternal and child health, immunization, reproductive health, nutrition, and adolescent health); Environmental and Occupational Health (Pollution, climate change, workplace safety, toxic exposures, and One Health approaches); Emerging Health Issues (Pandemic preparedness, re-emerging diseases, zoonoses, digital health, and global health security); and Cross-Cutting Themes (Health equity, social determinants, ethics, traditional medicine, and community engagement).
Article Type
The journal welcomes the submission of a wide range of scholarly contributions, including original research articles, comprehensive review papers, case reports, short communications, perspectives, and commentaries. All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous peer-review process carried out by experts to ensure the quality, accuracy, and relevance of the published content. In addition, each manuscript is carefully edited and published in accordance with recognised international standards and best practices in scientific publishing, thereby upholding the integrity of the research and enhancing its global visibility and impact. Frocessing Fee
Authors are required to pay an article processing fee only after their manuscript has been accepted for publication by the journal editors. This fee may be covered through the author’s research grant or supporting institution, and the amount charged is determined according to the World Bank country classification. To promote inclusivity, the journal offers waivers and discounts on processing fees: authors from low-income economies receive a 62% waiver, those from lower-middle income economies receive a 55% waiver, authors from upper-middle income economies receive a 25% waiver, while authors from high-income economies are charged the full fee.
